Is it time to ban cellphones at concerts? Does it seem old-fashioned NOT to Tweet or Instagram during a show? Do you just wish twitpickers would just get out of the way?
Take our survey.
get OVER yourself neko case, and welcome to the age of digital media and social networking. pix and video will only HELP promote the artist in question. also shut up, we are paying you assholes lots of money to sing a few songs, let us keep the memory digitally! I AM MAAAAAAAAD.
So far, “just watch the show” is winning in the poll—I think this says more about NPR’s audience than the general opinion. Don’t like it dont do it… no one is MAKING you tweet/whatever. It’s FREE PUBLICITY for the artist for you to say “I’m at XX show it is AMAZING” At an intimate venue or at the orchestra…sure, yeah, put your phone away. But at a night club/stadium where you’re dancing or standing or drinking or doing several things at once… I don’t see the harm if you’re not infringing on other peoples’ experience.
Haters gonna hate. etc.
