ENTP or INTP?

This article and the followup interview (from 2003 & 2006, respectively) made me think about my Myers-Briggs type, which is usually ENTP…but maybe it’s not.  I think lately I’ve been more introverted.  Maybe it comes in cycles?  Or I’m just projecting my ideal self when I take the quizzes—“Of course I would go mingle at a party and not drink by myself and wait for people to approach me.”  …hrm, maybe not.  Honestly it probably depends on how much coffee I’ve had.  Haha. (But also not haha, it’s true.)

The NTP parts are pretty consistent.

So. What do you think?  Which of these is more accurate?

ENTP
Quick, ingenious, stimulating, alert, and outspoken. Resourceful in solving new and challenging problems. Adept at generating conceptual possibilities and then analyzing them strategically. Good at reading other people. Bored by routine, will seldom do the same thing the same way, apt to turn to one new interest after another.

INTP
Seek to develop logical explanations for everything that interests them. Theoretical and abstract, interested more in ideas than in social interaction. Quiet, contained, flexible, and adaptable. Have unusual ability to focus in depth to solve problems in their area of interest. Skeptical, sometimes critical, always analytical.

Ok now for some alone time.

Love, Sex, Art, Gaga: My top 10 favorite Gaga outfits of 2010  → inspiredbythelady.tumblr.com

inspiredbythelady:

I tried to narrow it down to five but it was too hard.

1. This look is so plain and simple. Gaga in a plain black dress? I think the simplicity is why it’s one of my faves.

2. This outfit may come off as being a mess but the trashy fishnets with the gold jacket + the…

This post is made of win. Go look.

“Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn’t have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile. You’ve just gotta fight your way through.” —

Ira Glass (via hyperallergic)

Beyond this, I try to remind myself that everyone has taste—you may not agree with it but it’s there.  Everyone is trying to do it better every time.  And they do. That’s very exciting to me.

Yoko Ono on Gaga: “John would have loved her”

fuckyeahladygaga:

image

She performed with me on stage wearing a see-through lace catsuit and people thought it was an insult because you could see her bottom. I’m the lady who did an exhibition of bottoms. How could hers offend me? She has a very lovely bottom. I think she’s wonderful. John would have loved her, because she’s an artist, she’s fearless and she pushes every limit, which we both always adored. She has played on John’s white piano and I think that’s wonderful. Life moves on and you embrace it.

I fucking love yoko.
